The results for Paul Thomas’ yearly H!P fan poll are in, and Her Royal Hotness placed third again (behind Takitty and Gaki) in the poll for individual H!P members, and Morning Musume also placed on top in the group poll that he set up this year. Good to see that the mothership is still on top. I’m surprised that Buono! placed fourth behind Berryz Koubou and C-ute, though.

On a side note, sorry that this blog has been rather inactive the past couple of months (I’ve only been a little more active over at this blog’s mothership). Outside of my impending nuptials, there’s really no excuse for not keeping up with things here, so my apologies to both Reina and to my fellow Tanakachi fans and followers. I’ll try to make up for it.

Speaking of ridiculous, it’s good to see Reina’s animated doppelganger taking some bumps, even though Chutaro is still getting his requisite share of abuse and Officer Nacchi is still having involuntary Marilyn Monroe moments…

I’ll keep checking for Episode 7 – I haven’t seen a raw version, let alone a subbed one, yet as of this writing.

Very bizarre episode this week. The last time I checked, Reinya was supposed to be the smart one, although the cops haven’t gotten any smarter (apparently the three of them all flunked science class in high school!). I guess living two identities causes one to have their own airhead moments.

And Reina’s character is actually part cat? Funny, I hadn’t noticed the tail sticking out of her ass when she’s in her convenience store uniform… I’ll have to go back and rewatch the other episodes to see!

Episode 2 of Kaito Reinya is already online (well, it was since yesterday). Even without the translations (and I’m waiting on that with anticipation), it’s not too hard to follow the basic plot of these episodes. Watch at the end of the episode for an eyeful of some Kaito Reinya merch, including a Reinya stuffie! (That’s already on top of my want list! CK, next time you’re in Japan…)

I never got around to posting news of the announcement or press pictures from when her participation in this new anime series was announced, but this afternoon I caught wind of the first episode being posted on the trackers and on YouTube, gave it a full, quick gander… and became hooked. If this series ever comes out on Blu-Ray, I am there. Thank god “Region A” for BluRay discs and players covers both the US AND Japan!

While it was a slow year as far as posts to this blog goes, it was certainly one hell of a year for Reina and the rest of the band, especially given that they finally made their American performing debut back in July. I regret not being able to attend, but here’s hoping that there will be many more visits from the band to these shores in the years to come. And since Reina has openly stated in past interviews that she wants to remain in the band for quite a while yet, here’s hoping that I get to witness those American shows while she’s still part of the band.

Reina, here’s to your 20th trip around the sun, and many more to come!

The final results of Paul Thomas’ latest H!P Poll are up, and Her Royal Hotness has placed #3 in the polling with 10,900 votes. Seven spaces in the top 10 were dominated by current MoMusu members (appropriately, leader Ai Takahashi is also top of the H!P poll), with the other three taken up by all three  members of Buono!. 

Obviously, hardcore Reina fans like myself and CK had the Wonkylicious one at the top of their personal poll results (mine here, and Chris’ here), but the young man who operates the fan site Reina Reina Reina came up with what he calls his one “true” top 10. Given that this worship site is headed for its third year of existence and I was doing posts of Reina eyecandy with the subtitle So Hot She Shits Fire on the original Stuck In A Pagoda With Motoko Aoyama (version 1.0, long lost by a hair-metal drummer) for over a year before I started this blog, I beg to differ on who the more devoted Reina fan is.

Yes, Reina and I will be “discussing” this and maybe a couple of other things soon, but I’ll leave initial comments to the mothership first.
